- ItemAirline Services in Nigeria: An Empirical Analysis(Medwells Journal, 2011) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiThe aftermath of deregulation and liberalisation of the Nigerian aviation sector reveals itself in increasing demand for airline services at the Nigerian air terminals. The non competitve regime is seemingly a corollary of policy intervention to induce growth in quodam public dominated subsector. Such impact will no doubt attract passenger services variance levels. Th methodology for this study use the primary data and the documentary searches which is the secondary data source, the hypothesis was tested using t-test, ANOVA and regression analysis to draw conclusion on the interaction of the variables of the independent and dependent variables of the airline services impacts. The study assesses the level of effectiveness, efficiency and reliability of the Nigerian air services providers in the light of the perspectives of the users of domestic airline services in the country as well as the socio-economic characteristics of the travelling passengers in the country. The study revealed that indeed the reforms in the aviation industry have led to enhanced services delivery by the airline operators in the Nigerian domestic terminal.
- ItemAssessment of the Flows of Passenger Movement at Nigeria International Terminal from 2007 to 2015(Redeemer’s University Journal of Management and Social Sciences,, 2022) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiThis paper provides an assessment of the flows of passenger movement at the Nigeria International terminal between 2007-2015. The need to sustain flow across the various geopolitical zones encourages the establishment of the international terminal, which spans the geopolitical zone of the country; however, the characteristics and pattern of flow of these terminals are yet to be established. Therefore, this research provides the longitudinal dimension of assessment for ten years to examine the pattern of passenger flows and contribution to national development and cohesion. The methodology involves a longitudinal trend evaluation for ten years across the eight international terminals in the country. The data were analysed with descriptive statisics such as percentages. The study reveals variation inflows across the terminal as some recorded a spontaneous increase in the passenger flow pattern, while some were erratic and inconsistent for the years considered. The last pattern reveals a stagnant trend across the period. Generally, there were significant improvements in passenger flows. The most terminal in the study provides consistent benefits for the purpose of their establishment and contributes to Nigeria's national integration and national development.
- ItemAn Assessment of the Geometric Growth of Railway Transport in Nigeria. A Literature-Based Study from 1970 and 2016(Prace Komisji Geografii Komunikacji PTG, 2021-12) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiRail transport offers a huge benefit to Nigeria’s socio-economic activities because of its capacity to pull huge volumes of freight and convey large numbers of passengers. Despite these, commerce and socio-economic cohesion have been badly affected as road transport still dominates in overland transport. The revitalization of the rail mode towards economy recovery has suffered greatly since the 1970s. This study examines the spatiotemporal development of the railways in Nigeria. The methodology comprises longitudinal research design spanning over 30 years, from 1970 to 2016. The study reveals the spatiotemporal influence of rail transportation on the spatial development of localities and cities by attracting passengers, cargoes, and revenue receipts. The findings reveals also that rail transportation is experiencing a remarkable transition but has not attained the optimal level in rail development and performance across the country. Therefore more investment and better management are still needed.

The public transport concept of BRT had been SHCcessfully inplemented in Lagos metropolis in Nigeria-the largest ur ban conglomeration in the country as an innovation in public transport provision in Nigeria's, but the safety impact on commuters is not known. It is in this light that this study examines the operation impact of BRT buses on the safety of passenger's mobility. The methodology used in this study is the self completion survey method. Data were collected on variables of BRT operation; bearing on safety of the passengers as well as other road users.This is to evaluate the safety of BRT buses as a novel mode of public transportation in Lagos metropolis. The study was analysed through Pearson's moment correlation coefficient, analysis of variance and the multiple regression. The study revealed that there is a significant impact of BRT buses operation on the safety of passengers mobility in Lagos metropolis. This is by providing a safe and convenient means of public transport, as well as other road users and highlights suggestions on way's to enhance sustainable BRT operation and safety of the passengers as well as other road users in Lagos Metropolis.
- ItemCOVID 19 and the Airfreight Management System in Nigeria: The Need for a Behavioural Renaissance(Journal of Behavioural Studies, 2022) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiThe Covid-19 incidents have brought to the fore the freight agglomeration as more need to satisfy the demand of people staying home due to restrictions. This development increases the potential of the airfreight system as the assistance for economic sustenance amid the pandemic. However, the extant problems bedevilling the airfreight management system in Nigeria persist even as the advantages during the pandemic try to override the inherent difficulties. This study seeks to examine the various challenges in the light of reformed behavioural insight and disposition among the various stakeholders in the Nigerian airfreight system. The methodology involves an archival tenet of behavioural adoption into sectorial system building and enhancement for effective and efficient service delivery. The study suggests a total of behavioural overhauling among the stakeholders in the Nigerian airfreight system. It opines a more behavioural consideration since behavioural relationship and engagement take a more intense involvement in the airfreight transaction in Nigeria.
- ItemCustomers Satisfaction on Service rendered in a Privately Owned Airline; A case of Aero Contractor(Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, 2021-07-02) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiThe paper assessed the customer satisfaction level with the service rendered by a privately owned airline, a case of Aero Contractor, It also evaluates the level of patronage on the quality or services rendered to passengers in Muritala Mohammed Airport. A quantitative technique was used in analyzing the collected data. One hundred and thirty respondents travelled local routes where Aero Contractors fly, including Abuja, Calabar, Kaduna,Enugu Owerri, Port Harcourt, etc, Two hypotheses were tested. The first hypothesis states, there is no relationship between the level of service and the level of customer's satisfaction, Supported by the findings (with the significant level at 0.00). While the second hypothesis sales, there is no significant relationship between customer's patronage and services offered ad supported by the findings (significant level at 0.019). Both hypotheses were tested using CHI-square. The study recommends that the airline (Aero contractors) should adjust their Time management to improve service delivery to their customers. This will go a long way to change customer's perspectives on their airline's management towards achieving customer satisfaction.

- ItemExtent of Supply Chain Integration Among Selected Manufacturing Firm In Lagos Metropolis Nigeria(2018) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiSupply chain integration is an active phase in organisational governance, cooperation, and teamwork of both the upstream and downstream prospects of an organisation. This study examines the extent of supply chain integration among selected manufacturing firms in Lagos metropolis. The study employed a mixed research design structure to investigate the level of integration among participant companies. The target population was employees of the supply chain unit of selected companies from the list of the liability companies of the Nigerian Stock Exchange dealing with consumer goods in Lagos Metropolis. The primary data collected through questionnaires information regarding the extent and level of integration and its performance on the fims. The data obtained coded and analysed using the mean and the standard deviation to determine the extent of integration among the participating supply chain departments. The study reveals a collaborative and cohesive pattern of supply chain integration among manufacturing firms in Lagos Metropolis. The study concludes a strong and robust relationship between manufacturing firms and their supply chain partners. The study recommends a deeper working relationship between the supply chain department and supplier partners to mitigate the challenges allecting supply chain intiegration in the manufacturing industry in Nigeria and enhance better production performance among the selected manufacturing firms

More importantly, there seems to be a paradigm shift which affects ownership and administration of operation in the Nigerian aviation industry. This study examines among others the impact of deregulation and liberalization in the Nigerian air transport industry; the effects of the latter on operation and control changes that affect operational efficiency in the airline business; and the impacts of liberalization on attracting foreign direct investment and foreign airline participation in the Nigerian aviation industry. The methodology used for this study is documentary research, which entails search of existing published and unpublished documents and databases of stakeholders in the Nigerian aviation industry and external sources with affinity to the sector. The results of this study reveal that an unprecedented growth has been recorded in Nigeria. It includes among others: healthy competition needed for growth and development; increased participation in the industry by foreign airlines; increased foreign direct investment in the airline business and airport infrastructure development.
- ItemImpact of E-Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction: A Study of Internet Banking for General and Maritime Services in Nigeria(Journal of Financial Services Marketing, 2022-06) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiDespite the increased availability and accessibility of the internet, many bank clients continue to queue in the bank. This enigma necessitates research on customers’ perceptions of the quality of internet banking services in relation to customer satisfaction. The study examined the relationship using the process and outcome theory of service quality. A sample of 280 internet banking clients of General and Maritime service firms responded to the survey. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed to evaluate the measurement model’s validity and reliability. To assess the importance of the link between the variables, structural equation modelling was used. Statistical research results show that the service quality measures (website quality, functional quality, recovery quality and security quality) are significantly associated with customer satisfaction, with functional quality having the highest impact. With respect to the dimensions, website ease of use has the highest weight among the three dimensions of website quality; reliability has the higher weight between the two dimensions of functional quality; compensation has the highest weight among the three dimensions of recovery quality while informational security has the higher weight between the two dimensions of security quality. The study’s findings will provide valuable information to bank managers and bank industry regulators to monitor internet banking service quality and improve customer satisfaction.
- ItemInvestigating the Influence of Third-Party Logistics Providers on the Physical Distribution of Manufactured Products. A Study of MDS Logistics.(Journal of Behavioural Studies, 2022) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiThe impact of third-party logistics providers will emphasise the pivotal distribution agents for manufacturing output. However, despite the importance of this role, it has hardly been investigated on its contributions. This study examines the influence of third-party logistics providers (3PL) on the physical distribution of manufactured products. The study uses a 3PL company named MDS logistics. One hundred returned questionnaires from the staff of Guinness Nigeria, using purposive sampling and a well-structured questionnaire. The hypothesis tested reveals a significant influence of third-party logistics providers on the physical distribution of manufactured products. The findings supported this hypothesis using the chi-square statistical tool (with a considerable level of 0.000). The study recommends the need for manufacturing firms to implement a unique distribution strategy (adoption of a third-party logistics provider) to achieve a significant competitive advantage and attain a desirable level of performance. Secondly, manufacturing firms should always embrace supply chain management to lower costs, grow the market and sales, and build strong relations with third-party logistics clients.

Remarkably, in the case of Nigeria, the Tin Can Island Port has witnessed a significant rise in cargo, largely due to the reforms in port management in the country. In this regards, most related studies seems to be biased towards the developed economics. However, with the increasing threat of cargo spoilage and delay coupled with numerous issues relating to cargo handling at the Tin Can Island Port in Nigeria. This study seeks to examine both socio-economic and cargo handling characteristics at the Tin Can Island Port in Nigeria. The methodology involves both the qualitative and the quantitative methods. The data is analysed with descriptive and chi-square statistical analytical techniques. The study reveals that socio economic characteristics especially age of workers in cargo handling activities still influenced the capacity at the port. The study shows there is a significant relationship between perception of cargo traffic level and change in cargo handling procedure at the Tin Can Island port. In addition, it shows there is a significant relationship between policy adoption and cargo handling improvement at the port.

It aims to study the impacts of liberalisation on the regional spatial structure of air networks from Nigeria to West Africa in the pre and post-liberalisation. The pre-liberalisation covers between 1988–2000, and the post-liberalisation ranges from 2001 to 2018. The methodology involves using the graph theory to calculate the route and the network topology in the pre and post-liberalisation and compare the resulting index. This hypothesis was tested using the alpha index. The alpha index analysis compares the level of connection in a pre-and post-liberalisation network via graphical depictions of each period’s route and network structure and the resulting alpha index. The pre-liberalisation alpha index for the route and network was 0.297, while the post-liberalisation alpha index was 0.334. The alpha index ranged from 0 to 1 and was the perfect network for the post‐liberalisation period. In post-liberalisation, the alpha index of the route and network are higher than in pre-liberalisation. Hence, the connection is better in post-liberalisation

In this regards, most related studies seems to be biased towards the developed economics preparedness to enhance and avert possible disaster encountered at the US. However, with the increasing threat being posed on a daily basis on African international terminal especially the Nigerian airport with the rise of Boko Haram and other emerging insurgents threats. This study seeks to examine the perception of international passenger on the safety and security of the Nigerian airport terminal. The methodology involves both the qualitative and the quantitative methods. The data is analysed with descriptive and inferential statistical analytical techniques. The study reveals there is a significant relationship between airport passenger perception of safety and enhanced security level at the airport. Also the passenger nationality status also influences the level of security procedures at the Murtala Mohammed International airport.

This innovation had just been implemented in the Lagos metropolitan area of Nigeria. It is in this light that this study examines the impact of BRT in the passenger's mobility in the largest metropolitan area of Nigeria The methodology used in this study is self completion survey method, data were collected on variables of ERT passenger's mobility effectiveness, efficiency and impacts on problems of mobility in Lagos metropolis The correlation, pair sample t-test were use for the hypothesis testing. univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA for subjects interactions effects and multiple regression analys1s were tested on the dependent and the independent variable dataset. The study revealed that there is a significant impact of BRT to the passenger's mobility in Lagos metropolis and highlights the passenger's constraints while accessing BRT service in Lagos Metropolis.
- ItemRoad Crashes and Crime Incidences as Factors Militating against Successful Utilization of Commercial Motorcycles as a Means of Public Transit(Legal Text Publisher, 2011) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiThe relieve that the operations of commercial motorcyclists bring from the seemingly intractable traffic congestion and shortages Supply of transportation needs on most Nigerian intra-urban routes in the last two decades appears to be coming at great costs. The recent upsurge in crime rates and road crashes, which are arguably related to the operations of these commercial cyclists among other factors is a pointer to this assertion. The paper analyzed the socio-economic gains and losses directly attributable to the operation of these commercial cyclists in the Ibadan metropolis based on data collected from 120 respondents. Focus group discussion was equally held with The operators of these motorcycles. Regression analysis of study variables (location, sex, time of the day, age) revealed that these variables were not seen as determinants of becoming victims of crashes, whereas they are adjudged to be significant factors in becoming crime victims on commercial motorcycles. I was equally discovered that females, the very young and aged respondents were more vulnerable to criminal attacks on commercial motorcycle. Recommendations on effective management of the nation's intra urban traffic maintenance were subsequently made.

- ItemSocioeconomic Attributes and the role of ICT in Service Delivery among Private Transport Companies in Nigeria(International Journal of Advanced Academic Research, 2022-04) Oluwakoya, AdeniyiThis paper examines the socioeconomic attributes and the role of ICT in service delivery among private transport companies. The growing adoption of ICT technologies in transport services seems to offer a huge impact and significance to the operation and service offering. Still, the dimension and role of such impact seem precarious. The socioeconomic attributes and adoption of ICT service impact have been neglected as strategies in keeping optimum transport service delivery. Therefore, this study seeks to examine the socioeconomic attributes and role of ICT in service delivery among the private transport companiesin Nigeria. The methodology involves simple random sampling, and a total of 113 respondents used in the analysis. The data were analysed with descriptive and a chi square analysis. The socioeconomic attributes of respondents have benefited from the adoption of ICT in service engagement of the transport company. Also, there is significant relationship between the perception of ICT use and customer demand satisfaction as well as the ease of service access of travellers.
