- ItemAn Assessment of Coping Mechanism for Reducing Unemployment Syndrome among Graduates in Nigeria(2021) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamThis study was conducted to access the impact of coping mechanism on unemployment syndrome reduction among the graduate youths in Osun state, Nigeria. Survey method was used in this study and purposive sampling technique was adopted to collect data through administration of questionnaire. Two set of groups were involved.Four hundred and seven copies of questionnaire were administered on graduate benefiaries of N power in Osun State and 60 copies of questionnaire were also administered on the supervisors in each of the 30 local government areas of Osun State. (2 per local government). Linear Regression analysis was used to achieve the formulated hypotheses and objectives. The findings showed that Hypothesis 1 R2= 0.620, sig= 0.000, p < 0.05), for Hypothesis 2 (R2=0.455, sig =0.000, p < 0.05). The study established that individual commitment, self assiduous, focus and goal oriented are keen to self sustainability in this current situation in Nigeria today. The study concluded that individual determination (individual commitment,Focus, goal oriented and self assiduous) as coping mechanisms have significant impacton unemployment syndrome reduction among graduates in Osun State. Therefore, the study recommended that government should intervene and practically involve in the activities of the beneficiaries of any fund release to reduce unemployment in this era of ongoing COVID 19 pandemic in Nigeria to reduce economic wastage of fund.
- ItemEntrepreneurial Orientation and Innovative Performance of Selected Manufacturing Firms in Lagos State, Nigeria(2023) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamEnterprises are leaning toward entrepreneurship to foster constant innovation, rapid development, wealth generation, strategic advantage, increased performance and effectiveness. This study investigated the impact of entrepreneurial orientation on the innovative performance of selectedmanufacturing firms in Lagos State, Nigeria.The survey research design was adopted because the study focused on eliciting opinions from respondents about the variables of the study. The population of this study consisted of 5592 top and middle-level management employees of the five selected consumer goods firms listed on the Nigerian Exchange. The first hypothesis findings revealed a significant positive association between competitive aggressivenessand innovative performance (R2= 0.524, p=0.000 < 0.05). Hypothesis two showed a significant positive association between pro-activeness and innovative performance (R2= 0.554, p=0.000 < 0.05). The conclusion of the study is that all the dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation: competitive aggressiveness, pro-activeness, risk-taking and autonomy had an impact on innovative performance and the moderating variable competitive environment also has an impact on innovative performance. Therefore, the study recommends that consumer goods manufacturing firms should make continuous and intense efforts to increase their competitive aggressive stance by out-performing their industry rivals in all business activities. - ItemExploratory Factor Analysis of Entrepreneurial Orientation among Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Osun State, Nigeria(RUN JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT, 2024) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamExploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) is required to show the correct items for usage in a research instrument. Thus, this study developed and validated an instrument of entrepreneurial orientation through exploratory factor analysis particularly in the context of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Osun State Nigeria. The study examined innovativeness, pro-activeness, risk-taking, resource leveraging, autonomy and competitive aggressiveness as the core dimensions to measure entrepreneurial orientation. A questionnaire covering the six dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation was developed. This study adopted a multi stage sampling method, while quantitative data was collected from 312 out of the 340 selected Small and Medium scale Enterprises across Osun States, Nigeria. Based on the results of exploratory factor analysis, four factors were extracted and the factor represents; innovativeness, pro-activeness, resource leveraging, and competitive aggressiveness. Based on the findings, it was concluded that the four factors extracted play significant roles in the sustainable management of SMEs, hence, entrepreneurs should give utmost attention to them as entrepreneurial orientation is more relevant today to successfully run SMEs especially in the study area. - ItemHOW DOES CUSTOMERS’ SATISFACTION AFFECT BUSINESS PERFORMANCE? EVIDENCE FROM NIGERIA(Osogbo Journal of Management (OJM), 2017) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamThe study examines the impact of customers’ satisfaction on business profitability from Nigeria perspective. The SPSS package was used to analyze the linear regression in order to establish the relationship between the variables involved in the study. The results showed a positive relationship between customers’ retention and profitability which implies that mobile operators need to maximize customer satisfaction in order to influence the extent of loyalty and retention on the products’ patronage. However, this study recommends that mobile operators should not just rely on profit margins as a good indicator of business performance but rather should develop strategies that better capture customers’ perceptions of their service offerings. - ItemImpact Knowledge Management and Organisational Performance in selected Foam Manufacturing Firms in Lagos State, Nigeria. Economic Insights-Trends and Challenges(2024) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamThe study examined the impact of knowledge management and organisation performance in selected foam manufacturing firms in Lagos state, Nigeria. The study made use of survey research design to obtain information from the staff of Vita-foam Nigeria Plc. and Mouka Limited. The population of the study was the 792 staff of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc. Ikeja, and Mouka Limted, Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria. The study made use of simple random sampling technique. Result of the first hypothesis showed the R2 value of 0.608 which means that knowledge management technology variables have positive influence on workforce effectiveness. Also, findings of the second hypothesis showed an R2value of 0. 660 which means that knowledge management strategy variables have positive influence on workforce effectiveness. In addition, findings of hypothesis three showed that R2 value = (0. 791) which means that knowledge management training variables have positive influence on workforce effectiveness. Finally, hypothesis four resulted in an R2 value of 0.734, indicating a favorable impact of knowledge application factors on workforce efficiency. The research ultimately establishes that variables such as knowledge application, training in knowledge management, the strategic approach to knowledge management, and the utilisation of knowledge management technology all exhibit statistically significant relationships with workforce effectiveness. The research suggests that it would be beneficial for business organisations to adopt different knowledge management approaches. These approaches are valuable as they provide guidance on effectively overseeingand consolidating a company's information, data, and expertise, leading toenhanced productivity and efficiency.
- ItemImpact of Employee Training Programmes on Job Performance in Fountain University Osogbo, Corpus Intellectual(2025) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamEmployee training is crucial for organizational success, equipping employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. This study investigates the impact of employee training programmes on job performance, focusing specifically on the nonteaching staff of Fountain University Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. The research explores the training programme, such as workshops and seminars, and their influence on key job performance metrics, including productivity and quality of work. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to 129 non-teaching staff at Fountain University Osogbo, with 113 completed and returned, resulting in 87.6% response rate. The data was analyzed using General Linear Model (GLM). The findings from the analyses indicate that both workshops and seminars have a statistically significant positive impact on productivity and the quality of work among non-teaching staff. The study concludes that wellstructured training programmes are vital for enhancing job performance and recommends that universities continue to invest in these initiatives. By integrating training programmes into broader strategic plans and fostering a culture of continuous learning, universities can significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their administrative and support functions, ultimately benefiting the entire academic community. - ItemImpact of Entrepreneurial Orientation on Performance of Manufacturing Firms in Nigeria(Economic Insights – Trends and Challenges, 2023) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamThe study investigated the impact of entrepreneurial orientation on performance of manufacturing firms in Nigeria. The specific objectives of this study were to: investigate the impact of risk-taking on the innovative performance, examine the influence of autonomy on the innovative performance and assess the moderating role of competitive environment on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and innovative performance of selected manufacturing firms in Nigeria. A purposive sampling technique was adopted to select the sample size of 373. Primary data were collected through the use of questionnaire and the data were analysed using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression and hierarchical regression. Hypothesis One indicated that there is a significant positive association between risk-taking and innovative performance (R2 = 0.728, p=0.000 < 0.05). Similarly, hypothesis Two revealed a significant positive association between autonomy and innovative performance (R2 = 0.604, p=0.000 < 0.05). Hypothesis Three showed that competitive environment moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and innovative performance (Adjusted R2 = 0.673, p=0.000 < 0.05). The study recommends that consumer goods manufacturing firms should make continuous and intense efforts to increase their competitive aggressive stance by out-performing their industry rivals in all business activities. Secondly, they should be continually proactive, which implies that they should have the foresight to seize business opportunities at all times. - ItemInfluence of Servant Leadership and Organizational Structure on Employee Innovative Behaviour in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions(KIU Journal of Humanities, 2021) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamThe purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of Servant Leadership style on Innovative Behavior of Employees in tertiary institutions, analyzing information from 336 employees and 48 top management team using a convenience and purposive sampling technique in selecting a sample size of 384 from tertiary institutions in southwest, Nigeria. Findings unveil servant leadership and organizational structure positively relate to employee’s innovative behaviour while a nexus also exists between organizational structure and servant leadership. This research contributes to the infantile literatures on servant leadership style in promoting employees innovative work behaviour. - Item“Market orientation and organizational performance in telecommunication: The moderating role of strategic marketing”(BUSINESS PERSPECTIVES, 2024-08-19) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamThe study examines the influence of market orientation on the performance of mobile operators in the telecommunication industry and the moderating effect of strategic marketing on the relationship. Based on a cross-sectional survey of 286 management staff of the four largest mobile operators in Nigeria (MTN, Glo, 9Mobile, Airtel), an empirical evidence was established. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The SEM outlined the connection between the dimensions of market orientation and organizational performance. The findings revealed that inter-functional coordination (β = 0.485, t = 2.542, p = 0.013 < 0.05) and customer orientation (β = 0.245, t = 2.043, p = 0.038 < 0.05) significantly influence organizational performance, while competitor orientation (β = 0.159, t = 1.870, p = 0.065 < 0.05) has no discernible effect. It was also found that strategic marketing has a major impact on organizational performance (β = 0.466, t = 4.175, p = 0.000 < 0.05), but it has no moderating influence on the relationship between market orientation and organizational performance (β = 0.032, t = 0.445, p = 0.665 > 0.05). This implies that strategic marketing has a direct effect on organizational performance and not a moderating effect. Therefore, the study recommends that market orientation especially customer orientation and inter-functional coordination, as well as strategic marketing, should become a culture in the telecommunication industry.
- ItemPost COVID-19 and Naira Redesign in Nigeria: Implications for E-banking Service Quality Attributes and Outcomes(International Journal of Academic and Applied Research (IJAAR) ISSN: 2643-, 2023) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamThe COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 and the recent naira redesign policy in Nigeria have brought about several challenges to banks. One of the challenges is the quality of e-banking services, which has been critical for bank customers. The purpose of the study is to ascertain the e-service quality attributes that affect perceived e-banking quality and examine the relationships between e-banking perceived quality, perceived e-value, e-satisfaction and e-loyalty from e-banking users perspectives. The study adopted a cross-sectional research design and a quantitative approach. The researchers collected the data using a standardized questionnaire. A total of 384 questionnaires were administered via Google Form to e-banking users in Osun State, Nigeria, however, 171 responded to the survey. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The findings revealed that convenience, security, personalization and responsiveness best explain perceived e-banking quality. The results further indicated that the outcome categories (perceived e-value, e-satisfaction and e-loyalty) have strong associations with perceived e-banking quality. The route co-efficient between perceived e-value and e-satisfaction, as well as e-satisfaction and e-loyalty, were significant. The study's findings will provide a framework for bank executives to evaluate their e-banking performance and identify areas of e-service delivery that they need to work on to improve customer perceptions of e-banking quality, e-value, e-satisfaction, and e-loyalty. The objective was to examine the extent of the relationship between cooperative societies and the development of rural communities. The study employed a descriptive research methodology in gathering data from respondents consisting of eighty co-operative members. The members were selected using purposive and stratified sampling techniques. A well-structured questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection. The data gathered from the respondents were analyzed with both descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings from the study indicated that co-operative societies have no contribution to its members and the development of rural communities and its members. This suggests that, based on the findings, there is no significance relationship between cooperative societies and rural development in Ife Central Local Government Area, Osun State. - ItemTRANSGENERATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND VALUE CREATION OF FAMILY FIRMS IN LAGOS STATE(JUPEB Journal of Development and Educational Studies, 2022-02) Ajayi(Fetuga)Omoshalewa MaryamThe study examined the influence of entrepreneurial orientation and family firm’s resources on value creation in family firms in the State. This is with a view to enhancing the understanding of how transgenerational entrepreneurship influenced value creation in family firms in Lagos State. This study relied on the descriptive and cross-sectional survey design which established the association between variables affecting transgenerational entrepreneurship and value creation in family firms. The population for the study, were respondents from the family firms in Forbes List of registered family firms. Based on pre-survey carried out on the family firms, 10 family members involved in the operation of each of the firms making a total of 150 respondents from the fifteen (15) firms registered on Forbes List were purposively selected. The selection consisted of the Chief Executive Officers from each firm and nine other key family members. The data collected were analyzed using percentage analysis, Pearson product moment correlation and regression analysis. The analysis of the data showed that there was a strong positive relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and family firm’s resources. The result further indicated that the combination of both family firm resources and entrepreneurial orientation explained forty-five percent of the variance of value creation in family firms. The study concluded that the combination of family firms’ resources and entrepreneurial orientation influences value creation. Thus, transgenerational entrepreneurship is a fundamental to multi-generation family firms’ success. Keywords: Transgenerational, Entrepreneurial Orientation, Resources, Value Creation, Family Firm
