This comprehensive overview investigates how applied communication research can be used to examine socioeconomic challenges such as education, politics, economy, society, and health in Nigeria. With a focus on how communication might be utilized as a tool for addressing these difficulties, the review explores the themes, theories, periods of publication, and methodologies used in several articles, research papers, and journals written on different socio-economic challenges individually. In addition to shedding light on the efficacy of various communication tactics, the review emphasizes the value of practical communication research in recognizing and addressing socioeconomic difficulties and the logical conclusion of research work on this topic.
