dc.description.abstract | Development is a multi dimensional concept that could manifest at individual, community, state, national and international levels. The most important, however, of all the dimension is the individual level which is the transformation of the individual from a less desirable state to a more progressive state. The paper argues that the transformation of the individual could only be achieved through robust education and not schooling alone or certificates. It concludes by drawing relevant examples of values and virtues in traditional education that could help shape or mould individuals so as to make them an instrument of societal transformation, progress and development. | en_US |
